Infrared
Saunas and Candida – How Does the Sauna Benefit Your
Health
Candida is a yeast that exists in nearly all adult
humans and which, when left to overgrow, causes infections in
both men and women, though women are more likely to suffer from
these. A large number of these types of infections are actually
caused by over use of antibiotics, which kills off the bacteria
that naturally keep this yeast in check. At the moment, many
researchers are looking into the benefits of infrared sauna
therapy as a treatment for Candida.
Heat Against Candida
Many women have used heat as a method of easing
the discomfort caused by a Candida or yeast infection. A hot
bath or a traditional steam sauna have both been used. While
high temperatures do have an adverse effect on the yeast, it
won`t necessarily kill it and in many cases, the moist heat is
just what it needs to thrive.
Infrared saunas and Candida are a part of many studies
going on to decide just how effective heat is against this
yeast and whether it can be completely eliminated from the
body. Even after the person infected has taken antibiotic there
are still toxins (the infection can release up to 79 different
types of toxins) and traces of the yeast in the system which
can be purged by inducing a sweat.
The idea of fever therapy has been used for
generations. By raising the temperature of the body
artificially, the immune system is able to work effectively to
kill off viruses, bacteria and yeast infections. The infrared
sauna benefit for Candida is that it allows the person to stay
in a heated condition for a longer period of time than the
traditional sauna.
Does Infrared Sauna Therapy Really
Help?
There are many benefits of infrared sauna
therapy and one of them is the destruction of this unpleasant
yeast. The heat of the sauna works in several ways to combat
the infection.
- Sweating helps remove the toxins that are
produced by the yeast, including acetaldehyde. These
toxins, if left unchecked, can cause health issues and
affect the brain, causing depression and mood
swings.
- The high, prolonged heat often kills or great
reduces the Candida infection. This is similar to the fever
therapy mentioned above, where the body temperature is
artificially increased to provide an inhospitable
environment for the yeast.
- Infrared rays reach about 1.5 inches into the
body, reaching the deeper tissue and bloodstream to help
heat even better. This isn`t damaging and can be very
useful in “pushing” the yeast and its accompanying poisons
out of the system.
- Heat-killed Candida has been tested as a vaccine
and works both in rats and humans. Once the body has
adapted, it will be better able to fight this
fungus.
More and more people are using infrared saunas and
Candida is being treated this way more often, as people realize
that it could be one of the underlying causes of their health
issues. By using heat and natural methods rather than more
medications, it is possible to treat and even banish Candida
from the body.
